Party on a Friday night!

Last Friday night, I received a party invitation from my Aunty for her daughter (my cousin's) 15th birthday party. It was last minute, where they booked the venue at 3pm but it turned out to be an awesome party! The party was held at Bora Ombak, Putrajaya.

As this is my aunt who owns Hanna Petals (the best florist in Bangi!), of course the decorations for the party was beautiful. I didn't expect it to be so grand!

This is the birthday girl! Happy birthday Nurin!

This is the owner of Hanna Petals!

The venue had its own live band which kept us entertained! My family love singing and dancing, you should see us in a karaoke! This time was no different, although there were some other people there, but we didn't really care! heheh we partied like it was ours.

My ever so talented cousin Nuha also entertained us by singing a few songs. The live band were impressed by her voice and the lady singer was grateful that she managed to rest for a few songs!

They also had beanbags facing the live band and overlooking the marina.

So all in all, it turned out to be a happening party! Even Nazrin (well he loved running around jumping on the bean bags) and Aaman enjoyed it. Both kids were not asleep until they got in the car (which was around 11.30pm!). We were all so happy that everyone managed to join the party, a great get together with the Tok Noh clan!

Happy birthday Nurin and also Happy Anniversary Mak La and Uncle Muaz!!

Diana's baby shower

Time has been flying past to fast this year hasn't it? Before we knew it, our Diana will be popping her second baby soon (she's due in Jan). This time around her hubby took the wheels and organised the whole thing! As usual he only wants the best and he loves spoiling her big baby (as he calls her) and so he worked with Mint Events for this party. Although the theme was the same as her birthday dinner (read about it all here), Mint Events took it to another level with her baby shower!

We walked into the clubhouse and saw the beautiful set tables, dessert table and cake. It was only a bit later that I realised the custom made columns for the backdrop of the dessert table, complete with "Diana's Baby Shower" in gold letters. That was INSANE!!

The table setting was just as gorgeous! The tables were lined up with white flowers and lit candles.

The scrumptious dessert table was delicous too!

The shower was graced by Diana's dearest friends. I am so glad that we all could make it to her special day (except for Ikmal).

I was in charge of the games and we played 3 games. I have been given instructions to organise FUN and NEW games! The games were;
  1. Pain or P*rn
  2. How babies are made
  3. Mummy needs to Pee!
The first game was you had to guess from a series of pictures whether it's of a woman in labour or in the latter. We played this game before so I had to literally make a fresh new set of pictures this time. I tell you, my eyes were hurting having to pic go through those pictures!!! Then when we played the game, I made people call out their answers but after the 3rd pic, we had to refrain from saying P*rn as Diana's girl was also shouting out loud P*RN!! HAHAHAHA!!

I got the other baby shower ideas from here.

Playing Mummy needs to Pee!
As for the gift, I ordered the toiletries set from Minime.com. I love their range of organic, baby safe toiletries. So I asked my aunt at Hanna Petals to put together a flower basket and I know how much Dee loves flowers. My sister included her stuff as well in the basket.

My dearest Diana,

All the best with the new baby. We cannot wait for the arrival for your new goddess. I hope that you have a safe delivery and will welcome you to the Mother of Two club! Love you loads Dee!

Dina's Royal Baby

Over the weekend, my best friends threw my a baby shower! It was held at Diana's house so I was expecting a chill out session with the girl friends over lunch and eating some cake.

What I did not expect was a full blown party with an amazing spread of dessert, homemade food and a mani pedi! I felt so loved and blessed to be showered with so much love that day. I still can't get over the fact how beautiful everything was.

1. Dessert table

The decorations were done by @heliumnkonfetti (instagram)
The girls decided on a British Themed Baby Shower and the decorations were amazingly beautiful.

The decorations

The lunch spread were mostly homemade.

Shepherd's pie and fruit kebabs by my sister (I don't know how she managed to cook with 2 kids in tow?!)
Pasta and Potato Salad by Diana
Meatballs by Qilah
Sausages by Nadia
Bread and Egg tarts from Ikmal

The full dessert table

Yours truly with my handsome
2. The cake

The cake for that day was ordered from @gateauxlicious and O.M.G. it was stunning!
The detailing on that cake was just meticulous and beautiful. We were all amazed at how stunning it was. As we had so much desserts already, no one wanted to cut the cake. So I took it home and made sure I took a pic from every single angle of it! The bottom tier was a butter cake (with hazelnut) and choc ganache. The top tier was a dummy cake and the crib was made of gumpaste (?)

My beautiful cake

Thank you so much everyone for ordering my first ever gateauxlicious cake!

3. Manicure & Pedicure

They also called up Nails on Wheels that day.
I was just saying to myself that I needed a manicure as the edges around my nails were hard and peeling. So happy when I saw them upon arrival!!

4. Games

Ann and Paris were the games co-ordinator.
We played 4 games in total and they were so fun!

First we played "What's in the Diaper Bag"
A memory game where you had to repeat what everyone said that is in the diaper bag. Sounds so easy but believe me, it was pretty hard!I won this round! hehe

Then we played draw the baby. Everyone had to draw the baby with their eyes closed.
This is what it looked like! LOL

Third games was Baby's name. They had to list down baby name suggestions that contained the letter N and H (our initials). This was the funniest! Honk? Horn??!!! Thanks but no thanks Nadia. All your suggestions are rejected!

Lastly we played "Name the Celebrity Baby".
I won this games as I am a bit of a celeb gossip queen!
The below answer sheet was funny as they asked for the names of the 6 Brady Bunch but Nadia gave 7. Nampak sgt dia hentam je nama org putih!

Thank you everyone who all organised, made food, organised games for the party.
I am so blessed to have each one of you as my friend and baby couldn't wait to meet you all.
Do pray that everything goes well, and he arrives safely soon. Amin

With everyone!

Thank you! Love you all!

Tinkerbell and Peter Pan Birthday Party DIY Candy Buffet

A neighbor of mine had requested that I help her do the candy buffet for her daughter's birthday after seeing the parties I have done previously.

I was in charge of the candy buffet and the door gifts. Luckily it was a pretty small party so it was manageable especially when I'm in my busy period at work.

The party was held at Laman Zulaikha which is an event space in Bandar Sri Putra. The place itself was very spacious and had a nice clean facilities considering that it's at a shop lot. It's perfect for parties and also nikah and engagements.

Here is the full spread! Love how it was simple and pretty it turned out!

The main cake was ordered separately by my neighbour and so were the balloons.
Here are the close ups of the table and the dessert spread.

How cute are the cupcakes? Ordered from none other than @nhomebakes (Instagram). Love the Tinkerbell shoes she made out of fondant!!

I am pretty proud of the door gifts! They had wings or Peter Pan hats on top of the plain brown bags. I also designed the Thank You stickers.

Nelli, my neighbour went all out for this party. She created lots of DIY things for the party like fairy wings for the girl, Peter Pan hats for the boys, activity books and photo props. Hats off to her for making all those from scratch!!

We had a great time at the party!! Hope you were happy with the candy buffet!!

Aaron's 5th Birthday Party!!

We went to Aaron's birthday party over the weekend.

The theme was Ultraman and Natte' being the super mummy that she is did a WHOLE table of desserts to showcase her business @nhomebakes (Instagram) account.

Everything (except for the Trifle) was made by her.
And yes you can order cakes, cupcakes, macaroons and even cake pops through her.
Her red velvet is my ABSOLUTE favourite!! So give her a call at 013 208 5956 to order.
Do check out her IG for more photos of her bakes.

Cake made by the mummy herself!
Oh ya, the dessert table deco were also done by another fellow CBA Adzy.
You can check out her business @pinkbrolly (Instagram too!)

At the party I was accompanying Nazrin inside most of the time to play games and also because the dessert table was inside! ;p

Nazrin played pass the balloon game and got himself a prize!! They had the same clown (Labu) as the one who did Aaron's 2nd birthday and boy he has upped his game! Even us mummies were stunned to watch his colouring book magic trick! He made a blank colouring book suddenly appear with coloured pictures!! Jakun mak!!

With Labu the clown
We were all busy attending to our own kids so I managed to take selfies with my girls!
Here's a selfie of each of of the CBAs (from top L-R) : Adzy, Natte', Drog and Jid
My CBAs

Towards the end, all the kids had a blast dancing to Gangnam Style! It was so cute seeing the kids enjoying themselves at the "after party".

We took a quick photos with Labu before leaving.

Us at Aaron's 5th Birhtday
I couldn't help and reminisce how much our boys have grown since the last party that was held at the same house with the same clown (different theme though)!

Thank you Natte' and family for inviting us!! Happy Birthday Abang Aaron.

Adam and Zac'ss Birthday Party - free 3D cube minecraft invite!

Over the Deepavali holiday, my SIL wanted to throw her boys their birthday party and she had asked for my help to do the Candy Buffet.

Firstly she wanted a 3D cube invitation to be given to Adam's classmates. I browsed on the net and found templates on Etsy for about RM25 - RM30. So I felt really ambitious and started designing one!! I loved how it turned out. But I have to admit, I did not do the assemblying. Konti (Adam's daddy) pulled an all nighter making those cubes!

(SEE END OF ENTRY FOR LINKS TO THE THE INVITES!)

Here is Adam with his invites.

Nazrin with his invitation

Next up were the candy buffet.
As usual, I found a free printable from here.  Then I went to the Cocoa Tree at Pavillion to get the matching candies to fit the theme.

I also created some TNT's out of red twizzlers and some strings.

Candies according to their themes!

The cakes were made by Kakak's neighbour in matching Minecraft theme.

Here is the full dessert table. It looked brilliant with the banner that Konti printed off. This  was printed at Purple Print Bangi at RM1 per square foot!! The total price was around RM35 only!! So CHEAP!! Konti was super excited I guess for the party as he made so many extra props. Like those boxes and foam sticks and picks on the wall. He even made a treasure chest!!

Happy birthday Adam and Zac!
