Tinkerbell and Peter Pan Birthday Party DIY Candy Buffet

A neighbor of mine had requested that I help her do the candy buffet for her daughter's birthday after seeing the parties I have done previously.

I was in charge of the candy buffet and the door gifts. Luckily it was a pretty small party so it was manageable especially when I'm in my busy period at work.

The party was held at Laman Zulaikha which is an event space in Bandar Sri Putra. The place itself was very spacious and had a nice clean facilities considering that it's at a shop lot. It's perfect for parties and also nikah and engagements.

Here is the full spread! Love how it was simple and pretty it turned out!

The main cake was ordered separately by my neighbour and so were the balloons.
Here are the close ups of the table and the dessert spread.

How cute are the cupcakes? Ordered from none other than @nhomebakes (Instagram). Love the Tinkerbell shoes she made out of fondant!!

I am pretty proud of the door gifts! They had wings or Peter Pan hats on top of the plain brown bags. I also designed the Thank You stickers.

Nelli, my neighbour went all out for this party. She created lots of DIY things for the party like fairy wings for the girl, Peter Pan hats for the boys, activity books and photo props. Hats off to her for making all those from scratch!!

We had a great time at the party!! Hope you were happy with the candy buffet!!

Adam and Zac'ss Birthday Party - free 3D cube minecraft invite!

Over the Deepavali holiday, my SIL wanted to throw her boys their birthday party and she had asked for my help to do the Candy Buffet.

Firstly she wanted a 3D cube invitation to be given to Adam's classmates. I browsed on the net and found templates on Etsy for about RM25 - RM30. So I felt really ambitious and started designing one!! I loved how it turned out. But I have to admit, I did not do the assemblying. Konti (Adam's daddy) pulled an all nighter making those cubes!

(SEE END OF ENTRY FOR LINKS TO THE THE INVITES!)

Here is Adam with his invites.

Nazrin with his invitation

Next up were the candy buffet.
As usual, I found a free printable from here.  Then I went to the Cocoa Tree at Pavillion to get the matching candies to fit the theme.

I also created some TNT's out of red twizzlers and some strings.

Candies according to their themes!

The cakes were made by Kakak's neighbour in matching Minecraft theme.

Cake
Here is the full dessert table. It looked brilliant with the banner that Konti printed off. This  was printed at Purple Print Bangi at RM1 per square foot!! The total price was around RM35 only!! So CHEAP!! Konti was super excited I guess for the party as he made so many extra props. Like those boxes and foam sticks and picks on the wall. He even made a treasure chest!!

Happy birthday Adam and Zac!

Finally, a full family picture (minus Ninin).

So as promised here is the link to the invite that I made. You will have to download the font first from here.

Do let me know if you have any problems and I will try to help as best as I can!

BABY SHOWER THANK YOU TAG (FREE PRINTABLE)

Natte's sister in law will be delivering her first baby soon so her family decided to throw her a baby shower. Natte asked me to design some thank you tags, food cards and food flags.

After sending me some of the decorations that they have already purchased, I got designing.
I decided to keep it nice and simple only using a lil pink birdie as the clip art. I got the lil birdie from picmonkey.com and designed everything on powerpoint (such an AMATEUR!).

I am super happy that they loved my lil design! Will find a printing shop so that I could give a whole package (ie all tags printed and cut, flags attached to the toothpicks) as this time around I just gave them my design and they printed everything themselves.

Contents of the bag
The Pedicure sets were so cute!
I will post more pics when I get them ok?

In the meantime, here is a link to the printable that I made.
It's in Powerpoint, so it's editable. Feel free to use them and if you do let me know (ie comment)!
Thanks.

Nazrin's 3rd Construction Theme Birthday

For Nazrin's 3rd birthday, I decided to go with a Construction Site Theme as he is obsessed with trucks. It was just going to be a small party with both families, the next door neighbour, Kimi's best friend and cousin. It was held at the inlaws where my MIL cooked nasi lemak as the main menu.

So I searched for FREE PRINTABLES (of course!) and stumbled across this site.

For the invitation, I used the invite provided and added the wordings.

Nazrin's invite
I used the printables to make the toppers (although I had no cupcakes) so I stuck them on the serving plates and door gifts.

Chocolates
Marshmallows

The door gift
Some of the deco

Lucky for us, we had tonnes of trucks lying around to be used as decorations.

The full dessert area

Ballons were bought from Glowing Party House at Jalan Reko. One foil ballon had a tractor on it and the other foil balloon had Nemo (his current fave movie).

Nazrin and Ariana playing with their balloons
For the cake, I googled and this is my inspiration and sent it to my baker at @bakesnbites (on Instagram). You can even bake this cake yourself using bettycrocker mix where I got this picture from.

She baked us a choc cake with choc ganache which was so delicous! Everyone loved how it was not too sweet yet so soft. She dug the cake for me and added the green shaggy for grass. The rest of the decorations were added by me and this is the final result!

Nazrin's cake

Nazrin was so excited to see his cake. He kept asking "Mummy can I play?" he wanted to play with the truck and the cake. I had to keep a CLOSE eye on him before the party so that he doesn't play and ruin the cake!

Nazrin admiring his cake
The baker told me that she got a lot of "Likes" for this cake of over 100++ likes. Hehehe *bangga jap*

Nazrin sure loved his party. Sorry it wasn't a big HUGE party but I felt that it was enough. He got loads of trucks (1 excavator, 1 fork lift, 1 tow truck) and I added a Play Doh set (he loved it and ended up getting another set using birthday money given by my mum) and a truck story book.

The happy birthday boy
And finally a family pic.

Happy birthday Nazrin
Uggghh I keep telling myself to invest in a photographer during parties as I can never get decent proper pics!

Happy birthday my darling son. You will always be my number one and I pray to that you grow up to be a muslimin and anak yg soleh. I love that you are an individualistic boy with a passion for anything malay. I love that your current sing-song is "Renjis-Renjis Dipilis" together with your kompang. Stay the way you are and always remember mummy and Appa loves you so much!

Mastura's baby shower

My sister in law will be having her baby soon, so her husband wanted to throw her a baby shower. This is our first baby girl for the family (my hubby's side) so we're all pretty excited!!
He called me to do the decorations, my bro-in-law to help with the BBQ and mama for the food.

I love doing decorations for parties and I am not one to PAY for it. I am a cheapskate like that hehe

So I searched online for FREE printables and found this by simonemadeit.com (the link is currently not working though, I am not sure why)
The texts are editable which is perfect for customisation.
I found this link which has a bunch of other FREE printables too (click HERE)

So check out the party that I helped put together!

The gifts
I made a small banner "IT'S A GIRL" which we hang by the gifts.
Luckily the hubby bought loads of balloons to add, so that really made the candy buffet area. Without it, I think it would look a bit empty.

All the decos such as flower ruffles, frames, lanterns and even the 2 white plates for the pavlova and candies were bought from Daiso at RM5 each. I love that shop!

I borrowed the containers for the marshmallows from my aunty but I think I should get my own soon!

Cake (RM75) and pavlova (RM64 for a box of 16) were from Bakesnbites (on Instagram). The baker lives in Bangi, so that makes it easy to pick up. We ordered the rainbow cake which was yummy and moist but I should have requested for cream cheese frosting instead of butter!

The gifts were bought by Kakak.

The celebrated mummy, Mastura.

All the best Jimmy and Mastura.
We can't wait to see you baby girl!!

It's a Boy! Kakak's baby shower

My sister in law is having a baby boy so we decided to throw her a surprise baby shower!

I was designated as the party planner so I was in charge of the decorations and desserts.
My other SIL was in charge of balloons and my MIL was in charge of the main course.
Kimi was in charge of the games and he was so semangat that he even made "a wheel" kinda like wheel of fortune game. He also made kakak's sash !

SURPRISE!!!
Sash was handmade by Kimi
But we waited so long for their arrival, we didn't manage to yell SURPRISE in unison. She just walked in and we all just said...surprise hehe

Dessert Table
All decorations were printed off from this website and it was all FREE!
I made those flower ruffles (from Daiso) and also the circular fan.

I ordered my cakes and cupcakes from The Owl Bakery. Who? hehe my girl Natte'!
Everyone was singing praises on how good her cupcakes and cake were!!
Well she does make THE best red velvet cupcakes EVER!
