there are MANY beauty boxes available in Malaysia now namely vanitytrove, mivva box, cosmo box and bag-of-love just to name a few and their prices range from RM35 to RM50 per box.
so for this month i purchased The Lilac Box.
at RM49.90 this box deemed itself as a premium box where they only sample branded items. so you won't be getting samples from make up sold at watsons or guardian and for this reason their boxes do get sold out VERY quickly. this particular box was sold in 36 hours. their facebook hinted that box 3 will be the heaviest box thus far and this is the reason why.
a full size bottle shower gel from Yves Rocher. I did not realise that this brand was actually from France where their products were from their own organically grown plants! perfect for the gym yeay! this item retails at RM39 so i have gotten back the bulk of my RM49.90 i paid.
Update: I have used this shower gel and thought it was meeehhh..okla
The smell is light and smells of roses but it tends to leave a lingering "tea" smell. Could be just me though. It's not drying after I used it so it was ok. But I didn't really like the after smell (haha i just made that phrase up!)
the rest of their items
- Max Factor Ageless Elixir - another foundation to try and this one has anti-ageing serum in it!
- Chloé See - perfume sample and it smells divine! it's soft and not overpowering with a fruity scent just to way i like my perfumes Update: love this smell! Would definitely buy.
- Payot Pâte Grise and Spéciale 5 - never heard of this brand before! Pâte Grise and Spéciale 5 are apparently to clear up zits and blemishes (awesome! i'm breaking out as we speak so shall put this on tonight!)
- Babor HSR Lifting Extra Firming Cream - another unheard of brand but apparently the no. 1 luxury skincare in Germany
- Phyto Phytodéfrisant Botanical Relaxing Balm - this sample is to tame frizzy hair and also can temporarily straighten your hair. it says to use it daily but the sample is too small so not sure if i can see the effects of it with such a tiny sample.
check back for reviews of item that i loved and shall rave about them! (only got the box today so haven't tried anything yet except for the perfume which i am totally diggin')
to subscribe do head on over to thelilacbox.com. like i said they do get sold out real quick so it's worth to subscribe to their newsletter so that you get notified immediately when it is available for subscription. alternatively you can like their facebook page.
