oh hello there...
it has been a while isn't it and so much has happened since. biggest event being COVID hitting the world! now we're in Full MCO and I am craving for a holiday, I wanted to document the last holiday we managed to squeeze in in between the MCOs when we were allowed to travel.
It was our 10th wedding anniversary and we decided to go to Redang and booked Wisana Redang.
We heard about Wisana through a friend and managed to book a slot. Me and the boys took a flight to Kuala Terengganu and met up with the hubs there (as he was working in Kuantan). Drove up to Merang Jetty to catch our boat to Wisana.
Wisana is known for its white sandy beaches. The view from my bed was stunning and it was right in front of our chalet. But I have to warn you that the rooms are pretty basic. But the view makes up for it!
When we stayed at Taaras, our room (one that was within our budget) was far away from the beach. This time it was in front of our front door.
The price for the stay included all meals. The food was yummy and they had a tea/coffee station that is available to you throughout the day with unlimited bread and biscuits. They served a mix of Malaysian and Western cuisines.
On the first day we snorkeled in front of the Wisana itself and were hoping to spot some turtles but we didn't. Saw a stingray though and plenty of fishes.
The next day we went snorkeling and to see some turtles at Turtle Bay (price inclusive of the snorkeling trip).
We saw so many turtles swimming around us and at the snorkeling spots we saw so many beautiful fishes. The water and currents were quite strong that day though, so Aaman didn't snorkel and we had to take turns to teman him.
The next morning, I even managed to hike with a few new friends. I was in my slippers but managed to make it to the top. My knees were in paid for the next 2 weeks after that!
Another extra day would have been perfect. Just to hang out at the beach and swim. So next time (whenever we can travel again), we will definitely stay for 4D3N!
Glad we managed to go for a quick holiday before all travels were not allowed again.
We'll be back again WISANA!
