Diana's 29th Birthday

Last Friday, we threw Diana her birthday party. She loves beautiful decorations with lots of flowers and balloons so her best friends (my sister and her friends) engaged her favourite even planner @heliumnconfetti.

It was Greecian themed so lots of green, white and gold!
The table setting was just beautiful! And the 2 tiered cake was the centre piece.

Yummy cake!

Each table setting had personalised laser cut names and also the door gifts.

Here are the girls at her birthday!

Everyone who attended the party!

Thank you for organising, I had a lovely time!!

Mini Marathon - 5km

Sorry for all the back dated posts, but this was last last weekend!

It was our annual run, the final event for our Kelab Sukan Interhouse competition.
We had to get at least 50 runners in order to get 50 points for the house. Me and my team tried our hardest to at least 50 runners but unfortunately, a few people didn't turn up so we were short of TWO!!! Soo sayang!!

I jogged most of the way and did a better time than last year. I completed 5km in 43 minutes.
Okla, considering the old knee. Was happy to be able to finish!

Here are some pics of the day!

Me and Natte (who finished 5th! crazy this woman)

Merdeka Weekend Schenanigans

Sorry for the lack of entries lately :p
This entry is like a week old but what the heck.

Saturday

First we went to Didikan Sakura for Nazrin's playgroup.
The theme of the week was "Merdeka" and he made a Malaysian flag using recycled bottles and streamers.

Nazrin painting
His concentration during painting is somewhat amazing. I can hardly ever get this boy to sit still but he managed to finish it off. Should try to get him to paint more often.

After playgroup we went to Ad and Syah's house for a small makan2.
First time we've ever been there since they moved in (5 years ago?!) so a small gathering was overdue!

She decorated her place with a nice vintage look and we had yummy nasi lemak and mee rebus.

The PNB girls
Nazrin had some bonding time with Uncle Syah. Budak ni selamba masuk bilik org and masuk duvet etc! Buat mcm rumah sendiri ! Thank you Uncle Syah for layaning him!

Arshad's 3rd birthday party!

I was very excited to attend Arshad's party as Jid has been planning it for a while now.
She even baked the birthday cake herself!! After all the sweat and tears (and they were definitely some when the first ship broke!) it was well worth it as it was delicious and it looked amazing! I'll let you judge it yourself!

Baked with love by Jid
The food was superb!! Western food by Uniq Catering Services. I was too busy eating that I didn't snap any pic of the food. But do check out their website and their menus! Highly recommended!

I also kept telling Jid that after each birthday party, I always kick myself for NOT hiring a professional photographer. After which she decided to hire one for the day!! And it was money well spent as there were so many cute and candid moments captured by the photographer. Otherwise these moments will go uncaptured! So glad that she did and I'll definitely hire one at our next party!

Heritage KUL Ball

Last Friday at the very last minute, I was invited (instructed) to attend the Heritage Kul Ball at the Majestic Hotel by the boss.

Panic ensued as I had nothing to wear but work clothes! So a quick SOS to my fashion consultants the CBA girls. They told me to find a chunky necklace and maybe a belt. I managed to borrow one from Sherzam and decided to for go the belt. I swapped my jacket to a plain black one as well. Straightened the hair and slapped some make up on. Voila!

Before and After

The Heritage Kul Ball was hosted by Badan Warisan a body established in order to preserve our heritage such as our Stadium Merdeka, Stadium Negara, Central Market etc. As we work with them closely, plus our Chairman is one of the founding members - we bought a table for support. The event was held at the Majestic Hotel and this hotel is also one of the buildings that Badan Warisan fought to preserve the Colonial elements of it.

Outside the ball, there was a mini bazaar and silent auctions. You could also buy your coupon for drinks outside the hall.

Dinner is served!

The whole event was long!! By 10pm I just managed to finish my main and didn't have time to wait for dessert. The main star of the night was Sheila Majid but the event was until 12pm after which, there was an after party too. She started performing at 11.45pm. I was so gutted to miss out on Sheila's performance and only watched the video that my friend taped. Her daughter Kayda was there too and performed too. Sheila was nice enough to donate her voice!

I hope Badan Warisan managed to raise a lot of money in order to further preserve our old buildings and cultures.
