Natrina's birthday - Baked in Chelsea cupcakes

As the baker of the group, at each one of our birthday last year she personally made all of our cakes with lots of love.

Obviously we don't bake so this year, I made a point to get cakes from Baked in Chelsea. Fortunately, they now offer delivery services so I ordered the cupcakes. I ordered all flavours so that she could do her "research". If you don't know already she bakes @nhomebakes (instagram) and her cakes are delish!

So we surprised her with the cakes during the birthday lunch and she was super excited!

We had lunch at Porto Romano where I had their squid ink pasta! It was so good and I highly recommend it (sorry no pic as I was too hungry!).

Lunch with the CBAs

It's been getting harder for us CBA girls to get together these days as Drog now works elsewhere and Jid has left the company to work freelance for the own card designing company (you can buy her Raya money packets here!). So that leaves just the 3 of us remaining at the company.

Anyways, we managed to organise a quick lunch last week to celebrate Jid's belated birthday, Ad's advance birthday and Drog's farewell who is off to Boston to do her MBA. So we decided to lunch at BLVD at the Naza tower.

After eating at BLVD twice, I decided that the food was ok. Nothing to shout about really but the desserts were very good! So I think we'll need to find another place to lunch now after this. But as always it was good to catch up and I wonder when we will be able to lunch with the full quorum again! Happy birthday Jid and Ad and take care Drog!!

Lunch with the CBAs

Jid and Ad's Surprise 30th Birthday

As the CBA girls are turning 30 this year (finally they are joining me in the thirties club), we all decided to celebrate big!
Unfortunately for Jid, for her birthday Drog was super busy with work and studies so we couldn't celebrate together as the complete CBA. So we decided to throw her a joint party with Ad a few weeks later. It was tricky to arrange for Ad's birthday and at the same time arrange for Jid's too.
Basically Jid suggested to have breakfast at the Fancy Breakfast Club so she did the arrangements for that.

On the side, I arranged for the decorations (place mats and door gifts), balloons and cake for both of them. I used our friend, Asma to do the decorations and they turned out superb!
The theme was Rustic Chic and she created wooden place mats for each of us and decorated small pails to put chocs in.

On the day itself, Natte who arrived early in Bangsar to get the cake and the balloons. I felt so bad for making the nearly full term pregnant lady to get all the stuff!! Luckily we all made it just in time before Jid did. It was until she saw that table that she realised that we were celebrating her birthday too! Ad arrived 15 minutes later with her husband. She thought her hubby was taking her to breakfast and got really annoyed when her husband decided to wear a T-shirt at her birthday breakfast (not knowing that he won't even be joining!). Thank you so much Syah for sending her over!! She was totallly surprised and was in a daze for a while! hehe

Everyone really loved the breakfast! The food was superb as per my last entry and we loved having our own space (albeit it was a tad hot)

I had no babysitter so si handsome mulut becok tagged along!

Jid and Ad's Surprise 30th Birthday

Natte's admission to the BAR

Last Friday, I attended Natte's admission to the BAR.

Boy have I missed her while she was away from our company to do her chambering. I still missed her although she comes here for breakfast first before heading to the law firm.

For each lawyer-to-be, their "Mover" (ie another lawyer) will read out a speech written by the respective lawyer-to-be. At the end of each person's speech, I teared up! All the parents must be SO PROUD. When it was Natte's turn, I felt so proud of her. She is a go-getter this one! Once she sets her mind to do something, she will do it and she gives it her BEST! I wish I had that quality. I am a bit chilled hehe

I so wanted to video the moment when the Judge announces that she is admitted to the BAR but no phones allowed and there was a very GARANG police woman!

Anyways, CONGRATULATIONS Natte'!!!

Natte's admission to the BAR

Special Day Out #SDO

At the end of every year, me and my girls from the office would take a day off and do something together. Last year we went to Khareyana Spa but this year we just wanted to go shopping.

First up - Breakfast at Chinoz!

Then we went to Pavillion and got our hair done. 

I had a scalp cleansing treatment, cut and blow dry! Loved my hair afterwards!!

Then lunch at The Loaf

To my girls, thanks being a part of my life! You are my heart and soul and I love you to bits!!
