Cosmophelia Giveaway Goodies!!

Puteri from Cosmephelia hosted a giveaway to celebrate the launch of her newly revamped blog. Do check out her blog as her reviews are extensive and thorough. She blog posts are so detailed and well written that she recently won RM2k worth of L'Oreal stuff! I am also amazed that she is a full time doctor and yet she still has time to blog. I guess, when you love what you do be it blogging or being a doctor, you'll always make time to do it.

Anyhoo, check out the goodies that I got!! So much stuff!! I was jumping with joy when I received my parcel. Was so looking forward to playing with the Balm eyeshadow palette.

The goodies!

So this morning, I played around with some of the make up.

This is what I had on and a mini review;

1. Collection Cosmetic Cover & Go - was pleasantly surprised with this foundation! It blended right in without being cakey. The colour was perfect for my skin tone. Although the coverage is very light. It also comes with a concealer on top of the lid so that was handy! It managed to hide some of my dark circle.
2. the Balm Shady Lady eyeshadow - Kept is simple today and used the middle row pink and grey colour. Nicely pigmented eyeshadows.
3. Natural Collection Blush Stick in Petunia - This creamy blush in a stick was nice too! One nice stroke on the cheek will give you a some rosy cheeks.
4. Color Combos Mineral Lipstick in 11 - I love the colour of this lipstick. Nice shade of pink with some glittery effect!

Daily make up 27/11/14

For today's look, a lot of emphasis on the eyes with a smokey eye look (as per usual! :p)

This is me testing out the Zoeva Petit Crease brush.

Loving the Zoeva eye primer too! The eyeshadow seem to "stick" more to the eyelids.

Will update the eye make up after lunch to see if it lasted!

Stila Surreal Pallete, eyeliner and liquid lipstick - swatches and review

This is one of my birthday gifts this year given by my Bimbotches (nadia, ann and paris).

I had a board meeting yesterday so I had to look presentable so I decided to try this out. 

Stila Artist Essential Set

The set comes with instructions for the eyeshadows

But I didn't follow the instructions and just did my usual eyeshadow.

Full face makeup (with camera360 filter hehe)

The eyeshadow was great! Heavily pigmented except for 'Dream' but I suppose that was suppose to be the base anyway. 'Symbolic' was very glittery which was nice. 'Fantasy' was dark and that's as dark as I would go at the office. I didn't even use 'Reality' as I didn't want a heavy smokey eye look at the office. But all in all - this could be my next fave palette. I have been using Bobbi Brown's palette taken from my sister hehe.
I prefer brown coloured eyeshadows more than coloured ones. I always think that I can't pull it off in the fear that I will end up looking like a tranny!  I will put up more reviews of the other palettes as I get around to trying them.

I also used the eyeliner and it was so smooth to put on. You know how some eyeliners are a bit on the dry side? This one just glides on!

The liquid lipstick was great too! And true to it's name it does stay on all day. Even after a full aerobics workout, the lipstick was still visible (although not as initially worn).

Malaysia Property Award 2013

I was invited to attend the Malaysia Property Award over the weekend by the boss so I was super hyped to get all dressed up for it. The dress code was Black Tie for the men and Evening Gown for the ladies. So I had to find a long dress and I didn't have any! 

I rummaged through my closet and found these two.

A lace top from a baju kurung and a long black skirt.

Ended up with the pearl necklace as the lace was "busy" enough.

Note to self : You can't pull off that tucked in top into long skirt look.

That skirt was not long enough and you ain't skinny enough.Sigh...

Close up of the make up. Was going for smokey eyes but not smokey enough.

With the colleagues

We were served an 8 course Chinese Dinner and I was stuffed by the end of it!

It was a great night and it was great to see who won that night.

I enjoyed the getting ready part the most though. It was nice to get all dressed up!

Just wanted to share today's eye make up.

Bought a new eye liner hence the more "garang" eye look of the day hehe

It was time to get a new one coz my old was so soo old! I think it's been 10 years at least and when I use it, it makes my eyes red! Tsk tsk..I really should dispose of old make up esp. eye one. But so sayang you know.

Still trying to do the perfect eyebrows, still learning.

Also tried to smize with the eyes. Obviously DID NOT work haha!

Daily Make up 24/09/2013

Makeup brushes

Arrived early at the office this morning and decided to clean my brushes.

You see most of my make up and brushes are here at the office. I come in hair half dry and no make up on. I simply do not have the time to do anything else apart from shower-pray-put on clothes-put on toner,serum, moisturiser and sun block.

Everything else has to be done at the office.

So today I cleaned all my brushes.

I love this brush cleaner. However some people say that it makes the bristles slighter harder after but I think it's fine.

Before

This is my all over the face setting brush so it's not as dirty as my stippling brush.

The way I clean it is that I would put the brush cleaner liquid on the brush and also on the tissue paper. Then I would flick/stroke it back and forth. Jgn tonyoh coz that'll just ruin it!

Tadaa! After..all nice and clean.
